Drifting Woods

This is one of my favourite poems. I had posted it about a year ago but as today’s Daily Prompt in “Distant” I’m reblogging it. Hope you guys like it!

Kaleidoscope of my life

via Daily Prompt: Distant

Their journey started hand in hand
Rolling over the waves and shimmering in the sand

They kissed in the silent night
Hugging softly in the dim moonlight
By the morning as the sun rose high
They quietly separated as the winds went by

नातं तुझं माझं

People ask me why my poems are full of unfulfilled love. Always asking if I am sad, hurt or just incapable of writing anything remotely happy. But I think there’s a certain kind of beauty in sadness. There is beauty in longings and beauty in separations. Here’s yet another poem and yes as always it is a bit sad. It talks about tainted unfulfilled love and of loneliness that follows after a blissful union. Hope you all like it.

would-she

Would she?

Would she paint her toenails red
To mask the pains that her tears bled
Would she laugh at a random joke
Just to hide the truth that her eyes spoke
Would she pretend to like the summer days
When her heart is full of hopeless greys
Would she play her part just well
To cover the fears which in her dreams dwell
Would her lips smile as the painted masks
Bleeding with words that broke her heart
Or would she dare to bare it all
Fight her demons and stand up tall

hope

Hope

And the wait seems to be endless
Each meet seemed to be getting smaller and smaller
Each time he felt emotions he had never felt before
Each second made her real than the mundane realities of life
Each breath brought her closer
Each touch caressing her soul
His heart full of tender love and care…
And her’s a whirlpool of mixed emotions…*love *hate *hurt *care*

And above all … *hope*
a Never Ending HOPE…
